Paradise Cave, situated in the core zone of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, holds the title of the longest dry cave in Asia. Since its opening in 2010, it has captivated visitors with its naturally pristine features, resembling a masterpiece painting of landscapes. Delving deeper into the cave, adventurers experience a profound sense of clarity and awe. Towering up to 72 meters in height and stretching up to 150 meters in width, the cave boasts a breathtaking array of white crystal stalactites resembling natural pillars, alongside numerous other remarkable formations.
The Dark Cave offers an exhilarating and action-packed adventure. Exploring this cave entails exciting activities such as zip-lining over a turquoise river while securely harnessed, swimming into the cave’s entrance (with provided life jackets), navigating through darkness with only a head torch attached to your mining helmet to light the way, engaging in a playful mud fight in the buoyant mud baths deep within the cave, refreshing with a swim in the cave’s interior lake, and finally kayaking back across the river to challenge yourself on the hanging obstacle course and open zip-line. Its name, “The Dark Cave,” stems from its lack of artificial lighting, distinguishing it as one of the few caves untouched by modern illumination. Composed predominantly of basalt, a hard black rock, along with limestone, the cave’s geological makeup further enhances its dark ambiance. As you maneuver through the narrow and muddy passages, your only guide is the beam of your headlamp illuminating the path.
